Valdis Janis Zegelis

December 25, 1941—April 2, 2016

Valdis Janis Zegelis, 74, of Wahoo, NE, passed away on April 2, 2016.

Valdis came to the United States, on October 5, 1949 from Latvia with his parents.  He attended Nebraska School for the Deaf on January 9, 1950.  He graduated from the school on June 8, 1962.  He married a hearing woman named Jacqueline.  From this union, they had one daughter and one son.  He used to work for John Kraft Chevrolet.  They made their home in South Omaha.  They eventually moved to Wahoo, Nebraska.

Valdis is preceded in death by his parents Herman and Elfrieda Zegelis.  He is survived by his wife Jacqueline Zegelis; daughter Christine Zegelis; son Jerred Zegelis; grandchildren Jessica and Logan; sisters Elga Marker and Mara Williams; nieces Cindy Huff and Laurie Vallance; nephew Bobby Marker.

There was no funeral service.
