Michael William Stewart

November 14, 1964 - August 17, 2017


William Michael Stewart, 52, of Keokuk, died Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the Keokuk Area Hospital.

He was born on November 14, 1964 in Keokuk, IA, the son of William Lewis and JoAnn Teague Stewart.

He attended and graduated from the Iowa School for the Deaf in Council Bluffs, IA.

William was currently employed at Hy-Vee Food Store in Keokuk and had been working there since 2005. Prior to that he had worked at Wal-Mart in Keokuk.

He enjoyed anything to do with trains, weather watching, astrology and his job at Hy-Vee. William loved to watch baseball games and was a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Royals. He also liked football and was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. William always enjoyed the times he could get together with his great-nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his brother, Jonathan Edward Stewart of Keokuk, four nephews, Justin Stewart, Jon Stewart, Joe Stewart and Jake Stewart and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services was held at 1 p.m. last Friday, August 25, 2017 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk.  Burial was held in the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk.

Memorials may be made to the Iowa School for the Deaf in Council Bluffs.
