John Levi Snow

John Levi Snow, age 84, of Clarksville, Iowa, was born the son of John and Agnes (Jensen) Snow, Sr. on November 29, 1931, in Fitchfield, MN. He received his education at the Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf in Fairbault, MN and graduated in 1952.
On October 9, 1964, John was united in marriage with Bonnie Lou Kielman at St. John Lutheran Church in Greene, Iowa. The couple moved and made their home in California where John did maintenance at an airport. Through the years they had also live in Minnesota where John was employeed by Tennant and assembled vacuums; Waverly, Iowa and Clarksville, Iowa.
John had a caring nature and loved to give hugs. He was an avid reader and Vikings fan. He enjoyed watching the birds and feeding them as well. John enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with Bonnie and taking walks when he was able.
John died Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Clarksville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clarksville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Snow on August 7, 2014; his parents; a brother, Kenny Snow; a sister, Betty Wood; and his mother and father-in-law, Henry and Maxine Chesnut Kielman; and a brother-in-law, Kenny Heath.
John is survived by one son, Timothy John Snow (special friend, Stephanie West) of Souix Falls, SD; two twin grandchildren, Derek and Zeyda of Estherville, IA; five sisters-in-law, Joni Snow of Cumberland, WI, Carol Heath of Janesville, IA, Lola Volker of Waverly, IA, Joyce (Roger) Hinders of Clarksville, and Cindi (Bruce) Hoodjer of Clarksville; three brothers-in-law, Keith Kielman of Waverly, IA, Kendall (Karen) Kielman of Clarksville, and Jeff Kielman of Allison, IA; two nieces, Nancy (Craig) Anderson of Elk River, MN, and Debbie (Dennis) LaCasse of Shoreview, MN; two nephews, Peter Wood of Minnesota, and Clinton Snow of Big Fork, MN; and many hearing impaired friends.
Funeral Services was held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016, at the Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home, with Inurnment at a later date at the Lynwood Cemetery, both in Clarksville, Iowa.
