Robert K. Mjeldheim

October 27, 1951 - February 29, 2016

Robert (Bob) Mjeldheim, 64, of Omaha, Nebraska passed away on February 29, 2016.

Retired Police Officer from the Omaha Police Department after 22 years of service and a member of the Omaha Police Honor Guard.

He served in the US Army Reserves for 30 years.

Editor’s Note: Bob came from Harvard, Nebraska.  He used to work at Nebraska School for the Deaf as a houseparent of High School boys and he involved in the school’s Boy Scout Troop and coaching junior high school boys while he studied Criminal Justice at University of Nebraska at Omaha.  He became a police officer after he graduated from the university.  He eventually became a detective for the Omaha Police Department.  .

Preceded in death by his parents, Magner and Grace Mjeldheim.

Survived by his children, Eric Mjeldheim, Kristin (Joseph) Sampugnaro, Robert Franck; sisters, Marta Mjeldheim, Lynda (LaVerne) Rempel; brother, Paul Wynkoop; special friend, Suzy Davis; many nieces and nephews.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE 11am Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Braman Mortuary Southwest Chapel, Omaha, Nebraska.

Interment at a later date.
