Patricia (Welch) Meierotto

September 17, 1932—April 21, 2023

Patricia I. Meierotto, 90, of Clinton, WI and formerly of Fort Madison, IA, passed away peacefully at 8:27 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023 in Clinton, WI.

She was born on September 17, 1932 in Fairfield, IA to Hiram & Francis Stallman Welch.

She graduated from the Iowa School for the Deaf in 1951. She married Clifford J. Meierotto on September 10, 1960 in Ottumwa, IA.

He preceded her in death on June 20, 1996. 

She was a nurse’s aide at the Ottumwa Hospital for many years.

She loved children and babysat for 22 years for many Fort Madison children.

Patricia is survived by: 2-nieces: Cheryl (Eric) Rolland of Fort Atkinson, WI & Linda Haugan of Beloit, WI; 1-great niece: Renee Rolland of Fort Atkinson, WI and 1-great nephew Michael Rolland.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband & 1-brother, Charles E. Welch and 1-nephew in law, Michael Haugan.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The funeral service will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Kayla Carney officiating. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, IA.
