Frances Kruse

December 21, 1934 -- July 12, 2016

Frances L. Kruse, 81, of Mason City, Iowa died Tuesday July 12, 2016 at home surrounded by family.

Frances was born December 21, 1934, the daughter of Arnold and Bertha (Christensen) Jensen in West Branch, Iowa. She graduated from Iowa School for the Deaf in Council Bluffs in 1954. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith in 1948 in Omaha, NE. Frances worked for Americana Nursing Home as a Dietary Aide for seventeen years and retired in 1974.

Frances was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, and Mascia Club Inc. for the deaf.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Frances loved embroidering, reading books, being outside for walks and trips.

Frances is survived by her six children, Rebecca Rachut of Mason City, IA., Deborah (Ron Esser) Angell of Mason City, IA., Sandra (Kevin) Johnson of Mason City, IA., Pamela Kruse of Mason City, Ronald (Felicia) Kruse of Edmond, OK., and Darrell (Patty) Kruse of Quincy, IL.; brother, Wendell (Shelia) Jensen of Las Vegas, NV.; Eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren, and beloved cat, Sadie the Shady Lady.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother; granddaughter, Laura Meyer.

A Service was held 10:30 a.m. Thursday July 14, 2016 at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapels, 126 3rd Street N.E., Mason City, with Pastor Jeni Bohls officiating.

Family suggests memorial contributions to the family in care of Becky Rachut.
