George Dale Kiel

November 19, 1932 – January 12, 2022

George Dale Kiel age 89 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Prestige Care Center of Plattsmouth.

He was born on November 19, 1932 to Clarence Orville and Sylvia Ina (Toms) Kiel in Plattsmouth. George was raised and schooled in Plattsmouth and he graduated from Plattsmouth High School with the class of 1952. After graduating from high school, George worked at TipTop in Omaha, NE. Then he worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for twenty two years from 1960 until retiring on August 22, 1982. George was a lifelong Plattsmouth resident.

George is survived by his nephew: Gregory Scott Kiel of Layfette, CO; his great niece: Shelby Lynn Kiel of Tuscola, TX; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Sylvia Kiel, two brothers: HaroldGene Kiel and Vernon C. Kiel, and his sister: Wilma Jacobson.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 21, 2022 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth.

His Final Resting Place will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth.
