Dianna (Spidle) Ivins

February 7, 1945 – November 18, 2022

Dianna Carol Ivins was born in Omaha, Nebraska on February 7, 1945. Dianna, aged 77, battled with several complicated health issues and left this earth on November 18, 2022, at 6:33 pm peacefully at San Marcos, Texas hospital. Her beloved children Dale, Fred, and Amanda were with her until her last breath including the last neck poke!

She will be greatly missed.

Dianna is now with her parents Donald and Alma Spidle plus her sister Gwen Anderson.

Survived by one sister, Bev Shafter plus nephew/nieces; Gwen’s children Donald, Cheryl, Jeanette, and Chris Anderson and Bev’s children Becky, Lisa, and Kim Shafter. Dianna is also survived by her three beautiful deaf children Dale Ivins, Fred Ivins, and Amanda Robinson, CODA stepchildren: Thomas (TJ), Jennifer, and Shawn Schejbal, and 7 grandchildren: Dylan (coda), Derrick (coda), Ian (coda), Saphira (coda) Ivins, Alma (deaf), Axo (deaf) and Oakia (deaf) Robinson and 3 step[1]grandchildren, Andrew (coda), Kelsey (deaf) and Emily (deaf) Lachin. She loved her grandchildren very much.

Her grandchildren will miss her and her apple cookie jar with their favorite cookies and treats.

Dianna loved to play card games Rummy and Skip-Bo, Scrabble, and puzzles. She enjoyed going to the Austin Deaf Club once a month to play Tingo (bingo) with her daughter Amanda. She liked to watch Lifetime, The Bachelor, Dancing With The Stars, and HGTV tv shows.

A memorial service will be held Monday, December 19th at the Bethlehem Deaf Lutheran Church 5074 Lake St, Omaha, Nebraska 68104 at 10:30 am with lunch served after the service. She will be buried next to her parents Donald/Alma Spidle at Westlawn Hillcrest at Pinelaw
