Roland J. Graupmann

Roland J. Graupmann, 77, of Mason City, died May 18, 2017, at the Muse Norris Inpatient Hospice Unit in Mason City, Iowa.

Roland attended Minnesota School for the Deaf (now Minnesota Academy for the Deaf).

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Luella; his children, Cheryl Young of Blue Earth, MN, Joan Ross of Red Wing, MN, Jean Graupmann of Mason City, IA, Jeffrey Graupmann of Red Wing, MN, and Jamie Graupmann of Red Wing, MN. Also, surviving are his sister, Myra Martin of Glencoe, MN; 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.

Roland was born June 6, 1939, in Carver County, MN, the son of Reinhold and Dorothy (Mehlop) Graupmann. He was united in marriage to Luella Graupman on Jan. 30, 1960, at the Bread of Life Lutheran Deaf Church.
